I was born in the former Czechoslovakia and always interested in all kind of arts. I finished Grade 10 piano at age 16, took dance classes, and loved to explore museums.
After immigrating to Canada with my family in 1984 we started a brand new life from scratch. Raising our kids, taking care of my parents, and starting a business didn’t give me much time for pursuing my love for creativity.
It wasn’t until I retired that I was able to start my new hobby – painting. It allows me to slow down and breathe. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects using acrylics. I love the whole process of painting: the planning, the joy from producing it, and the grand finale at the end.
